Billy the Kid
Carlos Amorós Luzzy, better known as Charlie or “Billy the Kid” (on social media), is a professional piercer based in Valencia. He started out in body piercing in 2014 and has been training continuously ever since.
He has taken courses with associations such as APPE (the Spanish Association of Professional Piercers), CEP (Spanish Piercers Community) and LBP (Latin America Body Piercing), among others.
He also has up-to-date first aid training.
He is a member of Piercings Spain, an organisation dedicated to promoting good practice and creating educational content about body piercing. He represents Valencia within the Piercings Spain community (Piercings Valencia).
He currently works at Tracia Tattoo Studio, one of the best-known studios in Valencia, and also collaborates with Aristocrazy, a prestigious luxury jewellery brand working in 18kt gold and precious stones, travelling all over Spain and Portugal to do piercings. That lets him keep on top of the latest jewellery trends and stay up to date.
Artistic career
Over his career, he has worked as a guest in other studios, which has let him learn different techniques and adopt the most innovative methods. He does all kinds of body piercing, though his speciality is bespoke ear curation, adapting the jewellery to each person's style and anatomy to create unique pieces.
He only works with the highest quality materials, such as implant-grade titanium (the same used in medical and dental prosthetics) to minimise the risk of allergies or rejection, and nickel-free 14 and 18 carat gold. He also uses aseptic techniques to guarantee a completely hygienic, safe process.
